I remember when my turbo went and I was looking for a quick 14b replacement (for my previous laser) and I figured what the hell lets see how much they are new... 760 bucks! Found one at a junkyard with 120k on it and they wanted 400. Found one on ebay with 70k for 150 :thumb:

I just couldnt believe, 760 bucks. More than a brand new 16g and close to the price of an 18G.

What a joke.
I always wondered after that why a turbo thats better, more effecient, and no doubt more expensive to make cost hundreds less than the stock 14b new.

Any ideas? Just curious.

1. Not that many people want a brand new 14b
2. Anything from the dealer will be drastically overpriced.

Ya they are not widely wanted. Turbo shops dont sell them because anyone buying a new turbo is mostlikely going to wait something bigger so the price of a stock turbo is high.

Then as he said, the car dealers always want a shit load for all there parts.

$400 is WAY too much for a used tubro, hell you even over paid at $150.. U wrench it sells them for $50. Altho not everyone has U wrench its but I've seen quite a few on the trader for $50~75 dollars.

Same concept as the T-25. They cost more than they should aswell.

You just got that GST didn't ya? You already looking to upgrade? ;)

the t 25 is so much jsut because alot of honda guys use them for that custom set up.It kinda sucks thow mine would spool at like 4-4.5 rpms.
