ISO 1G GSX rear seat delete kit

Hey fellow dsm-ers. I picked up a 1990 GSX and I'd really like to gut the interior. Where can I find a carpet and trim kit for the rear seats? I'd like to make it look as good as possible not the simple bare metal race car look.

You won't a kit, you'll just have to find some carpet that matches and cut it to fit. I'll take a pic of what I did later today and post it.

You can probably call up carpet companies to order a roll of carpet. Many, many years ago I picked up some stuff from Home Depot which was a thin indoor/outdoor marine carpet which had a simple rubber backing. Not too heavy. I ran a length from firewall to rear wall and used only the plastics to hold it in place. Took a while to do.

Another thing that can be done in addition to new carpet is a "floor". You will need to build a plywood box to go where back seat was (could make it into a small storage box for tools, jumper cables, or any other stuff) and put a piece of plywood at the rear to cover up spare tire hole. Put carpet over the 'wood. This way the floor will look nice and level all the way, however it will add some weight.
