While browsing the internet all day I came across this bov/bpv..With this bov you can vent to the atmosphere and vent to the intake tract at the same time..You can tune it for how much air you want to vent to get the whistle sound without hurting the engine...So now you can have the sound without the problems of bad performance..Ps if this bov has already been posted then soory for the repost :thumb: :dsm: GFB Stealth FX Dual Port vents to the intake & vents to the atmosphere with its dual port action. This blow off valve is ideal if you want the loud swoosh without your car stalling out. By utilizing a unique air diverting system, you can control exactly how much air you dump to the atmosphere for noise, or the inlet for silence. By sending the vented air back to the inlet (rather than muffling it), there is no restriction and the valve still operates at maximum efficiency.

For cars with sensitive air flow meters such as the DSM, the valve can be tuned to vent just enough air back to the inlet to prevent backfiring while still giving the loudest possible blow-off noise. This BOV is fully adjustable by the flip of your wrist.

DSM Tech Tip: This is a 100% bolt on BOV for your DSM, no expensive flanges are required for installation.

Well there is a turbo smart and that one in the pic is the gfb stealth..Yes you are still venting to the atmosphere but you can control how much air is vented ..So for all the pssshhhh people that like the sound of the bov and I am one of them. Most of the air going back the intake tract is better then none of the air going back right..You can tune just enough air to make a noise ..The price I have seen is 199-239 and up :thumb: :dsm:

yep i was also BOV huntin and found this one to be the best BOV out of all . but its pretty expensive but it has more features and its louder compared to other BOVs..

i am saving up some $$$$ to buy it :D ppppssssshhhhhhhhhhhh :thumb:

It's still venting metered air to atmosphere, which is still bad.

To properly vent, you need to have some sort of blowthrough setup (i.e. MAFT) It's still not good.

With that BOV, there will still be a considerable amount of air that will still be unaccounted for by the stock MAF when it opens up. As far as I'm concerned, this is about as good as cutting a hole in your recirc tube, because that's what it's doing.

I do not mean bring up an old thread, but I have recently purchased the G.F.B. B.O.V. My 2g came with a 1g B.O.V. & intake tube where the B.O.V is mounted. Thought I would take advantage of this, & bought the G.F.B. Another reason is because if a cop hassles me for it I can tell him it's just for looks and it is still re-serculated there for technically legal. I also love the woosh noise it makes. I heard a lot of pros and cons I feel that it's a middle ground. Reason why I say middle ground is because I read that the Tial is great for serious boost which I'm not going to be doing for a while. The Greddy Type-S was hit or miss with me also being discontinued presents an issue of getting one. The HKS SSQV looked nice but pricy as hell. I didn't like anything else really so when I came across the G.F.B. I felt it would be a perfect choice in my dilemma.

I will fallow up with pictures and a video of installation with a test run on 100% re-serculated & atmospheric then 50/50.

Edit: Is there anyone near the Tri-Valley area that has a MAFT to help tune?
