Is this engine missing anything at all? And I know the bumper is a different color, it needs a repaint badly...It's a 95 GST with an EVO 16g turbo:

It's impossible to tell what all it could be missing with just a pic. It could use an upper timing cover and manifold heat shield but those aren't required for the car to run.

Oh okay, well at least you can tell me a little bit. Now I don't need those? Would it be better to have?

It would be a real good idea to have the upper timing cover. If anything gets in there in the timing belt than it can destroy the engine.

I know that the timing belt can destroy it if it snaps, and everyone always says to replace it after 60k miles (or something like that), but where is the upper timing cover?

i don't see the oil dipstick

Where is that supposed to go on the engine?

And check to see if the turbo is a real MHI 16g

How do I check that?

It is tough to see, but right next to your exhaust manifold there is a tube that leads down the bay and that is where your dipstick goes.

And listen to bryan about that upper timing cover as it will protect the timing belt as well as keep that spark plug away from it which is dangerously close.

A manifold heat shield, while not required, is recommended because it will keep the heat for exhaust in the exhaust and away from the engine bay. This will lower intake temps and keep your fan from melting as well. Although you might want the o2 housing shield for that too.

Oh god, this is all things that I don't know where they are XD. Do you think if I just take it to a mechanic they can do it? I'm not to keen on cars, even though I wish I was.

I'm not trying to be rude here, but a previously modded, unknown condition DSM is a tricky thing to get wrapped up in if you need a mechanic for a dipstick, upper timing cover and heat shield! Those aren't even actual mechanical issues!

If you haven't bought it yet, then you might want to rethink it. These cars can be a real problem if they are not maintained well, then modded and beat on. (not by you, but the PO) It takes a mechanically inclined person, or deep pockets if you need a mechanic for every little thing that needs fixed.

If you want to learn and take your time searching the forums then it is possible over time to gain enough knowledge to maintain a reliable DSM. I don't want to scare you away, but I feel the need to add a sobering outlook on the situation for you.

Have you test drove it yet? Done a compression test? How many miles? What boost is it running? Stock fuel system?

At least they are NGK wires and the BOV is recirculated. Maybe the PO had some sense! :D

i can help you out if needed im about 45 min away i have a dipstick and i can get a tbelt cover and look it over for you

No I haven't bought it yet and it seems like I'm gonna be doing lots of research :p. JD, if I buy it I'll get in contact with you :D
