Is this eBay MAS eliminator worth it?

$400 are you crazy? Go with dsmlink if your going to dish out the cash. Or just and safc will work great too.

I'm scared.

At 2:37 you made a thread asking if you could vent your BOV, then at 3:08 you made another thread asking about a device which would eliminate your MAS, possibly a way to properly vent your BOV. Anyone else picking up on this?

With the money you'd spend on that VPC you would be able to actually mod your car, enabling you to run more boost.....which would also make your BOV louder, even if it were recirculated (as it should be).

Trust me: 20psi recirculated is a HELL of a lot louder than 8psi vented.

VPC is an OLD way to eliminate the restrictive stock maf. I've personally never used one, but I can tell you you'd be better off buying a 2g maf or saving a little more for DSMLink and the MAF cable, then you can run a GM MAF.

edit: If you just want to vent your BOV then just pull the damn hose off and plug it with a film canister etc. YA YA its gonna run like crap. When I first bought mine at 16 I drove it like that for about a year. It depends on the car whether or not its going to run right. But ya people here will always call you a ricer for venting.

Ok, buy this and call it a day:
2g maf (unhacked)
2g maf pigtail
1g dsmlink

problem solved. And keep your bov recirculated.

Or buy a Maft translator for $200 used...and a GM maft for $45 used...and call it a day...vent with no problems...

OR be smart and recirc and Buy DSMLINK....it will be the best investment ever

For $400, go buy yourself a 16g, boost controller and boost gauge. Thats all you need if you want your BOV louder. The stock 12 psi boost doesnt have enough pressure to really blow open the BOV. Set the boost to 15 16psi and there ya have it.

Used maft=$125, maf from any gm vehicle from 95+ (thousands of possibilities)=$25. There's your mas elimination.

Like I said brah...jus keep your BOV recirculated...spend the money else where

You already have Intake and Exhaust...Buy a Boost Gauge=$35 off ebay...a MBC=$25 of ebay...a 255 walbro Fuel pump=$90 new...and some evo injectors and crank dat boost

You'll need an AFPR for the 255.

I would recommed spending your money on other stuff to go fast first. But yeah, vpc is old and outdated! I use a custom eprom chip with speed density coding that i can tune everything on. you can check out translator pro too if youre looking to go speed density and vent

okay so basically I have to send in my v2.0 and pay the upgrade fee then pay for the cable? if thats it im getting it this weekend.

of course after the new year i'll buy a good wideband but thanks for the nwew info dsmtuners ftw! :) happy holidays ppl
