im lookin to do a 2.3 stroker. Im planning on getting the kit from slow boy racing. The stage 3 kit that they have is rated up to 800hp. (awsome!) The kit comes with sbr pro-billet aliminum rods, and ross racing pistions, that have a compression ration of, 7.5:1. Im lookin to make at LEAST 500 whp. my question is, am i gonna have problems driving the car on the street with that low of a compression ratio? Or should I go with the stage 2 kit, that cant handle as much power, but has an compression ratio of 8.8:1. If anyone can give me any insite, that would but awsome, thanks-Bob

You can't just throw parts at something and except to be turning "at least 500 hp".

Figure out how much boost it will take to get 500 hp on the turbo you are going to be using. Daily driven or race (gas) only? Answer those questions, and you have your answer.

It will run with the low compression on the street... It will make more power on pump gas...

The aluminum rods will eventually go south..
