i have a 93 talon tsi AWD with about 123k miles...and ive been noticing after i cleaned my air intake that my BOV is louder and all of the sudden my car idles like shit! sometimes itll stay around 800-900 then itll go down to like....500 or up to about 1500 i dont know wuts goin on and im wondering if its a sign my cars engine is about to crap out or something?? ive noticed also that my gears dont go as fast as they used to..my first gear usually got around 40ish if i redlined and 2nd would get over 63-65mph....i also have an exhaust leak if this would account for anything..and a mechanic told me my turbo seal is crapping out, and i know hes right because well..i see oil right on the oil return line right on my turbo so if you guys have any ideas or reccomendations on what to do please help! if i can fix my car i can keep it otherwise my dad wants me to sell it and i need my DSM HELP ME PLEASE

Are you venting to the atmosphere with your BOV? That could cause the rougher idle...

actually no im not. but i was wondering if by chance if you accidentally struck your BOV or something if it could #### up and vent...because ive heard of venting and that it makes your car idle very poorly and such...thanks again guys.

Make sure all the couplers are nice and tight, especially the intake to turbo. My car was doing the same after I installed a 3" intake and the coupler keeps poping out.

im not a newb but what are couplers and where are they? and how can i tighten them? is it something i can do myself?

okay i tightened the clamps on my stock intercooler piping..havnt taken her for a test run yet what else should i do??
