Is This A Good FPR?

Hey guys, I was in the market for a FPR and I came across this one, its new and with all the hardware for $90 shipped. My question was has anyone ever used this before? and if I was to use this would it work with a 97 gst? I am slowly upgrading and I got a 255hl fuel pump, and I wanted to put it in until I get my injectors. Can I buy this FPR and put in my 255 fuel pump and run it for the time being until my injectors come and until I get link to control it? Thanks in advance!

I ran the stock regulator with my 255hp and it ran fine. I installed an aeromotive afpr and it ran even better. Go figure.

And that cx racing afpr is just an aeromotive knockoff. It is a 1:1 rate. Only part to fail in it is the diaphram and spring. They can be replace with aeromotive parts if the do fail.

clipto, you shouldn't be telling the guy to modify his car the wrong way. Even if its true that your car ran "fine" after you installed the 255 without an afpr but that is not the correct way of modding a car. To the op, if you are going to install a 255 you should get afpr.

I wouldn't say it's the wrong way or the right way.I was just saying from the previous conversations of people it would save him the $200 but it is tottaly fine if he gets one.

If he got a high pressure 255 it will over run the stock FPR, the low pressure one probably will not but still isn't recommended to run without one.

ok, update on this: i pmd the OP. this kit works just fine with one huge exception: the guage port needs over 100lbs of torque and a shit load of properly wrapped teflon tape to work. it was spraying fuel all over until i just went crazy and torqued the living #### out of it. frustrating. but on the bright side, they include enough fittings for like 3 cars and plenty of extra steel braid hose. its a good kit for 90 bucks for sure. pressure is rock solid at 43lbs and doesnt move.
