Is there supposed to be a gap on motor mounts?

Motor mount that is next to the timing belt has a gap between the flange and the rubber bushings mount. Is there suppposed to be that gap?
 
all i have to say about the prothane mounts is that if have shifting problems these i will take care of just about all of it. keeps the trans level and doesn;t let it bounce around messing with the shiifter linkage
