Is there such thing as a .025 2g piston?

I could only find .020 and .040. The reason for asking is, I'm buying an engine from someone who clams that the engine is bored .025 over with 95 pistons.

I'm going to pick up the car soon, does anyone know the answer? Will it reduce my compression if the pistons are .020 over and the cylinder walls are .025 over?

Even if you bore .080 over you will not really see a difference in compression ratio. you may have 8.999999999:1 instead of 9:1

That will cause major issues with your piston to cylinder wall clearance , i would take a swing at saying that the motor is .020 over that is pretty common, unless the motor has had some serious wall damage and had to be bored .025 over then the pistons that are .020 won't work.

Your seller may be confused. If he can't produce paperwork for the machine shop work, just ignore it and check the rest of the engine for overall health.
I'd have thought oversize pistons were in .010 steps, but these days you can have anything made.

The owner is sure that it's .025 over. He baught it from a guy in montreal who builds high power talons. I asked him why it was .025 over he said he baught it that way then purchased and installed the pistons. If infact it is .025 over will it lead to premature engine wear??
