Is there any harm in running with the Idle switch disconnected?

Is there any harm in running with the Idle switch disconnected?
When I pull it it idles normally, all my problems are solved.

I used to do that in my 1g nt back in the day. It made cold starts hard sometime, other than that I saw no ill effects.

Did you go thru and set your idle up to begin with? Regardless, if the car idles fine it idles fine.

i set my base idle when the motor was warm and then i unplugged mine and it's been that way for almost a year now. I haven't had any problems out of my car at all. And oddly enough it starts better than my Blazer on cold mornings.

What idle problems are you having?

Why would anyone want to pull the idle switch, even if it doesn't seem to cause any problems?
