Crankwalk... Any proven fixes out there

Now before you flame me I have looked and looked for proven verifiable fixes for this problem but I have found no solid reasons or proven fixes for this. Almost 20 years later someone's had to have broken down the complete solution to this problem. At least I hope. Some info on what I have going. I just bought another 1995 talon tsi with what I believe to have the problem of crankwalk. The owner before me had the whole bottom end gone through and rebuilt and the crank 're manned and he installed it himself 20k later the cranked wiped out the crank sensor and now has .0625 of play. That's right a whole sixtieth. Crankwalk I don't know but what I guess I'm asking is best course of action to this? Should I have it rebuilt by another mechanic and machine shop or just start over on this build with a jdm? Any advise and info would be greatly apreciated. Thx B

You'll never get a straight answer that everybody agrees on. To me the solution to crank walk is 6 bolt swap

I really don't believe you searched this topic, it's been beaten to death x1000

I have. Its all speculation. I did read one about what Noslaser wrote up and that made the most sense to me but nobody replied that it was a ligit fix. I know everyone has a different opinion about it. I just don't want to be pissing away money if someone knows something of recent that has fixed this shit. I will look into a 6 bolt swap. Is it a PIA?

You can't fix blocks that are machined wrong from the factory.

You can't make new members search even though we try.

You can't expect a 20-year-old car to run like the day it was new without some type of engine bearing wear at some point during it's lifespan.

You can't make the word "crankwalk" disappear from the DSM vocabulary no matter how hard you try.
