Is the car worth my time and money?

Im getting a 91 talon tsi fwd off a guy for 200 dollars. The car needs new brake rotors and i know the valves are smashed, possibly new trany as well. there is some rust on the drivers side rear quarter panal that will need to replaced. Im concerned cause the guy was talking about turbos and pointing to the back of the engine when clearly the turbo was in front. He didnt have any idea what he was talking about. I have no idea how the car was maintained. it only has 112 k. Do you think its worth my time and money to fix it up as my toy?

I wonder how people could even pass up this kinda deal. WTF WTF WTF WTF. If it was me i would jump on it. Even if you dont part it out you could sell it for more then you buy it for. It makes me that i don't see these great deals in my area.

to fix it up as your car, first u gotta rebuild the engine if the valves are smashed, and if u think u need a new tranny, you need a new tranny, if it needs new rotors, it will need new pads, which will be around 200$ at any shop, and they will install, youll save about 50$ doin it yourself. as for the engine and tranny, dsmtrader.com or mitsubishi graveyard. for the rust, id just pull out my dremel and cut off as much as i can without hitting the good metal, then grind off the rest and weld a new piece of thin sheet metal onto the back, sand off and bondo the rest. he doesn't have any idea what he is talking about, and he has no idea what hes selling, so be like theres so much wrong ill give u 150$ or bring like 180$ with u in 20s and be like DAMN IT I JUST TOOK IT OUT OF THE BANK AND I LOST 20$. ;-P

Yeah, im going to buy it. its going to need some tlc. I dont have shops do my work. Im going to do a full paint job on it too. I got a lot of sanding a head of me. ill post picks when i get the car.
