Is the 1g bov really that much better?

Trying to seafoam my car i broke the nipple off of my 2g bov like an idiot :banghead: I never had any problems with the bov and only boost at like 13 psi. Should i really upgrade to a 1g if im running such low boost? With that being said, if i can stick with a 2g does anyone have one they'll sell me. Another reason i dont wanna go 1g route is because i really dont have much to spend on the 1g+adapter and such so im hoping to find a 2g bov cheap.

Why not? The factory boost level on a 1G is 10-11 psi and the BOV works great at those levels.

1G BOV's are among the best ever made. Show me an aftermarket valve with a range of tunability from 10psi to over 30psi which offers 20 years and 150,000 miles of trouble-free operation and never requires a diaphragm replacement.

I think you should of mentioned, the OEM Mitsubishi 1g bov has been used on many other manufacturers turbo cars..most well known, the GTR. Its WELL worth it.

^ That, and the Evo IX BOV is basically a 1G valve with the 2G adapter fitting already on the base of it if you're lucky enough to score one used at a decent price.
