I got a new clutch and the throw-out bearing that came with it looked like the inside plastic piece was a little off center. It didnt really bother me because I already knew i wanted to go with the OEM instead. I got the OEM one from dsmparts.com today and it looks the same. is this normal or at least acceptable?

That is weird. I think it will work but i remember mine being straight... Perfect

after putting the bearing on i noticed that since the fork is at somewhat of an angle mabe thats to compensate. it moves freely so im going to install it but i forgot how the clip goes onto the fork. I can only put it together one way but im not sure if thats right.

My Fidanza 4.3 kit came with a new throw-out bearing. My buddy noticed that it was off center like you talk about, and also a tad larger. Who knows. It should still work perfectly. :dsm:

I bought an ACT 2600 around a year or so ago, and it came with an "OEM" TOB. After some checking around, I came to the conclusion that they were actually supplying TOB's at least comparable to the OEM one, if not identical...due to repeated complaints about the cheaper ones they had been shipping prior to this.

Not sure if this applies to you (or if that is still the case), but it seems plausible.
