I just had the ecu in my car replaced a couple of weeks ago. Tonight I replaced the oil and go to start it, but it acts like the battery is dead. I jump it and it doesn't turn over, but the radiator fans come on and the temp gauge goes all the way to hot w/out the car even running. I also smelled like a burning wire smel or plastic inside the car. I have had the car running a total of about 45 minutes since the ecu was replaced. Is the ecu fried?? If not what does it sound like to any of you guys?? I stumped and pissed. :thumbdown  Also, my friend had a problem similar to this a couple of weeks ago. It was his ignition fuse or something like that, but I can't get a hold of him until 9 when he gets off of work.

be sure you did not short any of the wires in the ecu harness when unplugging it or bend any of the pins on it while plugging it in.good luck
