Is it worth it to modify a 95 Talon ESi?

i bought a 95 eagle talon ESi a couple weeks ago and would like to modify it after i pay it off (a few more months before i can do that) but i want to know if it will be worth it, or will i have to dump alot more money into in than its worth just to make it fast. so should i just drive this stock for awhile and then buy a TSi, or could i get this car up to speed?

whats up to speed??
Beating civics and focuses or running 14.5's and under.
Unfortunltly little boltons won't do a ton. Best way would be to just flatout turbo it or do what you suggested and keep the mods real light until you get a TSi.

well noone around where i live really races (elkhart, IN) so i would like it to be able to beat other cars that are already somewhat fast stock, such as a del sol and such. i wuld like to get new rims first, and then new intake and exhaust systems. also, if i make any mods to this car, would any of them be transferable to a TSi model?

del slows...I mean del sols arent fast, the dohc sol's run 15.7-16.0 stock. My gf has one thats around that speed and they are not fast...

ps wait save and get a turbo...

engine mods would NOT be tranferable at all,,suspension mods would be unless you get AWD which has a slightly different setup in the rear, still might work though.

I dunno,, you can just do the basics but its not gonna be a "fast car" easily. Though neither are civics. It might beat neons and civics but get beat easily by your dads 4door buick for example. I personally would just add intake, skip exhaust, and keep it really clean w/ a decent suspension, light 18's, maybe do an eclipse bumper swap or whatever you feel like. Its your car so do what you want. For me it would be a turbo kit or almost nothing at all performance wise since headers, intake, exhaust have such low hp gains for the $$$. good luck

i was thinking of getting 17s for it, because i have no traction with the tires i have on it. i didnt really want to wait awhile to be able to start upgrading a car, so ill probly just stick to basic stuff right now. rims and intake are probly what ill do for sure, and then maybe an exhaust, but if not an exhaust, at least a muffler to get a good sound out of it,
