Is it cheaper to keep her?

My used PTE GT3251E needs a rebuild. There's excess shaft play, and it spits oil, and lots of it. I've been calling around to find out how much it could potentially cost to fix it, but every shop I've called won't give an estimate until they see the turbo, which doesn't help me decide if I should shell out money for a rebuild or a replacement.

For those who have had a turbo rebuilt, how much did it cost you and what did they have to replace? Here's pics of the potential damage:

Forced Performance lists a typical rebuild for $345, but that excludes replacing damaged wheels (your compressor looks to have a few bent/broken fins). May want to call them up to see what the cost of the known repairs would be. They do give free estimates.

At the same time, you may want to contact Diamond Start Motorsport / SBR to see what a replacement CHRA for your turbo would run
