is $7,999 a good price for a 97 GST with 102k miles?

was just wondering about the price of this car. it is in great condition, the only thing i worry about is the miles. is this a good price? if not, what should i be asking for? and if you can, please let me know what i should be looking for when test driving it. thank you.

Is it a private sale? I'm guessing not, by the "999" ending. Is there a warranty? After market products installed on the car? Try to go to kelleybluebook.com to get a proper price idea, but I think that's a private sale price. Mileage sounds a little high, but not too bad. Doesn't sound like too bad of a price to me. it is a private seller. and shockingly, the kellyblue book for this if in exellent condition is only $6,350. i don't want to get overly excited and just buy it and not know that i can save some money. is there anyway to tell if there are signs of crankwalk? what should i be loooking for?

Very Very expensive IMO. Bought a GSX with 103K for much less than that. Does it have any mods done to it?? I would Drop $6000 cash in his hand, he won't wanna give it back.

I Definately Agree.
Drop 6,000 and walk off with the car. Not trying to bash on gs-t's but being as it is a gs-t thats the key reason you're going to pick it up for 6000-6500 MAX. If it was a gsx I could see you paying 7000 easy.

I paid 10k for my 97 over a year ago. But it came with 30,000 miles and was COMPLETELY bone stock. Never touched, I went over it with a magnifying glass (SP), seriously!!! Looked for ANY overspray or clean bolts!!!!!

It is a sellers market with these cars. They wanted 12k for my car and I dropped 10k cash right there (I waited till he was drinking some water and he started choking). The guy was shocked and went inside enough to leave his foot in the door and turned around with a grin from ear to ear.

Bring 6k and drop 5 in his hand. He will say no more than likely, but just go from there.

I payed 3500 for a 85 tsi awd w/ 78k and a 6bolt swap. I just say wait and something will come along.

since you guys are bring up the gsx talk, there is actually a gsx in my area too with 88k on it and he's asking $8,500. both cars seem pretty much stock, but i havesn't gone to take a look at it yet, that's what im doing today, and don't you worry, i will expect every single bolt with a magnify glass. the only reason why im not really intrested in the gsx is because its red, no offense to you red dsm'rs out there, but not not a huge fan of red. and besides the only reason why i want this black one is because i had a black gs exactly like this one just a couple weeks ago, and i had to sell it because of a move. btw here is a link to the black on.

Well. There's lots of them out here, but not many in the condition of that black one. How hard do you drive? If you're just "normal", the T would be plenty. But if you're a bit aggressive, I'd hold out for an X. And be sure to consider Talons, unless you just can't do the looks. They go for a couple grand less. And the X will let you get to Reno without chains.

That's a top price on that T with that mileage, but it sure looks like an honest car. And that alone can be worth a thousand.
