what is a good price

what is a good price on a 4g63 motor out of a 93 talon tsi awd? ive came across another motor and he has it priced but i dont know what these things go for. the car is in the next town to me. thanks

Well It depends on one: whether everything is in good running order or not and two: what it comes with. Is it a short block, long block, Complete motor or what?

short block...i have pistons but they need rings, or if u wanna do a build it would be perfect for that. just depends on what you wanna use it for

motor runs great nothing wrong with it, just want to build one. just the motor, intake, sensors. a complete long block but doesnt come with turbo. is 800 to much has een priced yet to me but i need a ballpark price these go for

If your going to build it, then I'd say thats too much. The only thing useful you will reuse would be the crank, thats assuming by building it you mean aftermarket rods and pistons. You will have to have everything machined too, keep that in mind. Look for one that is not running but in good condition.

i only want 250 for all that i have. block, crank, pistons, oil pan, all timing components, oil filter bracket, power steering pump, all motor mounts, and turbo components are extra...but depending on what you wanna do its up to you. what do you wanna acheive?

I picked up a running 6 bolt for $150 off craigslist. Complete long block plus accessories and some other goodies. Pulled it apart and everything looked great inside it.

They go for that much in the junkyard. If you're going to build it with new rods, pistons, cams, etc a NT is as good as a turbo.

They also said I could mix and match heads with the long blocks, so if I wanted to pull the 4g64 in there I could put a 63 head or a small port 61 head on it.

No oil squirter's in the N/T blocks.

Yeah, like I said, just as good as a turbo block. A lot of people block the squirters in the turbo block anyway.
