ok so i was just trying to figure out what all came stock in a 91 galant vr-4 as in like rods and cams springs, pretty much just what all internals did they put into these cars.

was trying to figure out if they where not to far off from the 1gs talon or eclipse.

Umm there the exact same.6 bolt low compression, big rods, 1g lifters, manual cams.It's the same as a 1g.

Not to be a dick but think about it.Why not use the same motors parts for both 1g talon eclipse laser and vr4 rather than using different parts in each car.

From a company perspective.The more you can use the same parts, the more costs are cut for the company and consumers.

Besides the fact that 1g auto's have a few different parts, everything else is the same as well.

no i got what ## saying on that it makes sence. i just wanted to comferm that most of of the parts where the same so i new what i could keep stock with out blowing something up down the road because i didnt no. im still pretty new to the dsm world.

Yep so if you ever need parts get from a manual 1g dsm.I doubt even the parts store people would even have a vr4 in their computer.So just say eclipse, talon.

Besides the hubs and stuff, cause their 4 bolt instead of 5 lug.Those are definatly not the same.

GVR-4s aren't DSM's.

Just like avengers and sebrings aren't dsm's either.Even tho the vr4's are identical engine wise, besides the intake pipe.

yea very true that is why im am goin to get a 5 lug swap put on my car as well. in the near future as well as some up grades for my car.

Correct. Just trying to save the OP a potential smack across the face from a knowledgeable GVR-4 owner when he calls his Galant a DSM.

Do you mean jdm? These cars are not jdm, they were born in illinois.

Galant's were built in Japan by Mitsubishi Motors and imported here. So technically, it is JDM.

Oh the things I would do for a switchable trans .

The great thing about the GVR4 is who would guess that thing has a boosted 4g63 under the hood? Around here people are starting to learn what they are, but still the ultimate sleeper IMO.

Even a better sleeper a awd turbo van.

yes that is how i plan to fix up my car... not 100% sleeper looking but for sure going for that.. should be a funn year with this car in the summer... definitely keeps the 5-0 off ## ass when they see the 4 doors.. me likely
