does anyone know how the rods are mounted on the piston, i wasn't paying attention when i took them off.

Umm what are you asking? The wrist pin holds them together. Do you mean which way do they need to face? I don't think it matters for the rod, just the pistons all need to be facing the same way.

the notch/arrow on the pistons need to face the lettering that is on the beam of the stock rod.

yes bogussvo is right the notch/arrow on the pistons need to face the lettering that is on the beam of the stock rod and the arrows on the pistons need to point to the timing side (the front) of the motor....

If it helps any, an old trick is to put the wrist pins and the connecting rods in the freezer overnight. Makes the pins alot easier to reinstall. Good Luck.
