On my 1995 eagle talon tsi i have been having an intermittant valve train tick. Would a bad lash adjuster cause that?

Possibly, but when are these intermittent ticks occurring? Is it when cold, hot, certain rpm, load? Or is it seemingly completely random?

Lifters, low oil pressure or a clogged HLA could all be contributors, we need some more info.

It does it at complete random times. Cold and hot. The most noticeable thing about it is that it follows rpm. But i took the oil cap off and it didnt sound like it was coming from under the valve cover. So i started pulling injector plugs and when i plugged injector 3 back in it stopped but did it when it was unplugged. And the car has 151000 miles on it with stock internals so it is tired and oil pressure is about 1/4 on the gauge at idle and under load is just over half.

Well drove the talon around for awhile today and it hasnt made the ticking again

I have an intermittent lifter tick thats louder than the usual sound from the 2g lifters im running. It just started happening. Did I collapse a lifter?
