intermittent electrical problem

A problem i thought i fixed is coming back with new problems. Randomly when i go to turn on my car, when i turn the key to start it, all electrical dies.if i jiggle the battery around the power comes back. Ive already ran new grounds with 4 gauge wire and replaced the ground terminal a few months ago and that stopped it for a while but its coming back again. Ive tightened and cleaned both terminals but it still happens recently. Another thing that happened today is that as i was coming to a stop i put it in neutral and my stereo completely shut off and my gauge lights dulled to practically nothing, but my engine stayed on.. when i gave it gas the lights got brighter and when i started drivimg again my stereo came back on. Could it be a bad battery? Even though its only a year old? Im not sure what else to do, thanks for your input.

Take the car to pepboys or autozone and have them test your battery and alternator. Should usually be free. I would start there.

I forgot to mention i tested it myself, battery was at 12.8 volts resting and 14.x volts running so i think the alternator is ok. Would autozone just use a multimeter too?

Just take them to get tested! It's free. Not saying you tested wrong but you never know. Iv been plagued with low voltage for about 2 months now three alternators and a battery later I still am. I'm about to send my ecu to get tested/fixed by ECMlink.

Ok, I'll get it tested when I get a chance, I just think it's odd that it only happens randomly

could be a lose or damaged connection in the fuse block or a worn fusable link if all else fails

Altanator regulator maby.. Get it teste by someone who can read the amperage
