Ok have an odd smell in my cab. Any nitro R/C guys out there?? well if you know what I'm talking about my car has that rich smell in the cab. Not sure if there is a exhaust leak doesn't seem like it. only thing i can think of is the car's running rich. oh and the previous owner removed A/C components from the car..

Make sure there are know holes in the fire wall were it could be coming through were maybe there was a grommet at one time. Also make sure you have no exhaust leaks.

i have the same smell and cant figure it out i know my car runs rich also

What I believe my smell was is that someone who had worked on the car prior to me owning it is that the top left stead of the exhuast stud was broke and RTVd back into the hole. I have not test driven the vehicle since the header install because of minor set back. Will be driven monday and I will post back if that exhaust leak was fixed. Does you smell come apparant under boost, that is when I could smell my leak.
If your car runs rich check you ECT and your upstream 02 numbers only if your inclined to do so (access to equipment)

Ok So as for the smell mainly it's my wastegate dump tube dumping exhaust right under my engine and the air vents when open bring it back into cab, yeah not good at all. I'm gonna have my uncle help me either re-route back into downpipe/exhaust or by coming out my front bumper on the side like I have seen some others do.

Awwww come on now. That's what I like most about my external dump.:D Nothing like the smell of burned race gas being belched out of the dump tube on a warm summer day.;)

A rich running car should not smell like a nitro-burning engine.

R/C nitro engine, is the smell R/C being remote control and my air vents smell weird anyway but I'm slowly fixing this car since the DA I bought it from tried to make it nice but screwed up engine then just didn't care.

I don't follow that statement at all. Nitro is nitro. It doesn't matter if it's burned 2-stroke or in a top fuel dragster. The fumes from RC cars are quite noxious. Maybe something died inside the car or there is coolant leaking.

I think the previous owner when removing a/c condenser and other a/c stuff didn't empty it properly and yeah. no clue. But I am planning to take apart dash here in the near future and clean. Can't wait for taxes to get me some goodies
