I Want To Paint A Few Things In My Interior Black, I Have A Tan/Black Interior. What Should I All Use To Match As Close As Possible To Stock. Also Will It Chip Away? Will The One Paint Work For The Entire Interior?

Painted interiors always end up looking like shit. Don't ruin a perfect interior! Trust me. It looks SOOOOOO cheap specially once it starts chipping away.

It depends on what you paint. If you paint plastic, it looks good. I painted my roof trims all black with Krylon Fusion paint. After 6 months in Florida heat, it is still holding up. I wouldn't paint the entire door panel, it looks crappy.

I Wanted To Paint My Armrest On My Console Black, Along With The Passanger Pillar To Match The Black Drivers And Do Something On The Doors Like This. Is It Worth It

That is worth it. I was picturing a ricer type paint of all the trim pieces and stuff.:) That looks real nice. My buddy replaced the door speaker grills by some type of black fabric and it looks really good on the tan door.

Well...i don't want to admit this, but my old NT eclipse used to be somewhat of a ricer. Of course i went ahead and painted my dash, and my WHOLE door panel, and around the cd player and stuff. It looked sweet having my whole interior white, and red...but after about 2 weeks it started peeling and cracking and i just got sick of it. It was very cheesy, and ricey. I do not recommend it to anybody, unless you do it like the picture above. Keep the interior painting to a "stock" look maybe adding black, tan, or grey, but the wild colors just get weird.
This is embarassing.....but....here are my pics..... And please, i have already learned my lesson about the rice aspect, so dont give me crap!! LOL

My pictures didn't work because they are too big, but i will make them smaller then post them up in a few hours!

I was wondering about this a while back, and while we are on the subject, did any of the 1g's come with an all black interior or just the black/grey?

just the black /gray
there s no black leather seats

i am not a huge fan of the painting interiors, if the items are tan and you want black, dye them in black dye so it keeps the original texture. My friend painted the interior of his rs when after he got custom paint from molding his kit, and i think it looks ok but would not do it. he painted all the removable pieces the dodge viper blue and has a black interior with the gray bottom. also, he painted the side inserts for the center council and if painting is for you, I would color match with automotive paint, primer, and clear, and alot of sanding but not in that order

Yeah I can vouch for the Krylon Fusion also. The black looks like freshly armor-all'd factory interior. It dries in less that an hour and is chip resistant after 1 week. It stick a hell of a lot better than the interior paint does.

that s grey (i know i have them)
not black...i know , sometimes they do look black.....

yea i was talkin about 1gs....
and that s cool i didn t know there was 2 differnt models

???
LOL ok look at the first picture, the steering wheel is black
the seats are grey ??
or are the grey seats are referred to "the black seats" ?

and to get back to topic, that black armrest is pretty cool in that 2g i think because of the tan interior, so the mix looks good
zwickyj, u have tan leather seats?

This is my 3g after about a year. Teh first time I painted I did not clean well or use primer and it bubbled and peeled off in 1 day. nexyt I cleand with thinner, then primer, then krylon fusion.
