interior paint removal

what products are avaliable to remove aftermarket paint on our interior plastic pieces. i have tried acetone and paint thinner but neither works. thanks guys

Probably nothing that won't eat the plastic, depending on the type of paint. You're probably best off sanding down the part and painting it the color of the original. I know it's a PITA but I think it's probably your only choice other than replacing the parts.

i would just replace the interior, there are alot of people parting out entire 1gs...

just sand it down, using a sand blaster, that would be quick, and i have done it just dont put the gun to close to the plastic piece or it will burn a hole in it. Then you can just buy some vinyl dye from autozone or wal-mart and repaint it. Thats the best i could tell you to do I cant really think of anything else to do sorry about that.

oh by the way i have used that carpet/vinyl dye and it works really well, so dont worry about messing anything up it works

Brake fluid.

wow, i didnt know brake fluid would work like that. I always thought it would eat up the plastic, i know it eats up acrylic fingernails (the fake ones) because my girlfriend carried a pan with brake fluid in it when i had to bleed the brakes and it ate the fingernails right off her fingers .
