:dsm: I am interested in putting a front mount on my GSX. I want a front mount big enough to fill the front grill but not too large that it restricts airflow to the radiator. Is a 8-9" tall intercooler adequate? Also, what is a good pressure drop figure across both the endtanks? Is 0.2 psi drop a good start? Also, I have noticed that there are an abundance of shops trying to sell intercoolers off ebay for around 200. Are these intercoolers complete junk or do they have some potential. Also, what is a good inlet/outlet diameter? I'm still running the dinky t-25 with an HKS SQV.
Any help on the subject would be great appreciated. Thanks guys. :dsm:

for your impatience, you will get a signature reporting. :toobad:

Don't bump yourself asshole! Jk, but it really is against the rules. It all depends on how deep your pockets are, and what your goals are. I'm still on the T-25 and probably will fab up my own exhaust and intercooler using straight pipe and mandrel U bends. I'm going with an Ebay cooler because I'm in college and on a budget. Other people will say, "do it right, do it once." If you got money look at our sponsors and go with one of their kits that run $875 or so (I forget exact amounts). I would say an ebay cooler is good if your running an Evo III or smaller turbo. If your looking at a 50 trim go with something from a reputable vendor. I see your at PSU, I'm here as well. Where you living at? Are you part of PSU's car club? -Matt :dsm:

you're welcome..

How bout you make yourself your own intercooler, you are a mechanical engineer, so do something mechanical. :tease:

obviously your looking into performance and wanting a frontmount to look cool and keep cool. but sorry to say the money you are investing in to a frontmount can go elsewhere. try and looking into a new turbo first. the stock T-25 will give you some fun times until it dies. any turbo upgrade (even 14b) will be a bigger improvment than any other bolt on except NOS.
