intercooler piping help

I was looking on ebay for a set of intercooler pipes beacuse my pipe are a makeshift set they guy before me did. my fmic is 34" inlet to inlet. I was wondering does this kit look like it will bolt up? it says it will but somethings look backwards and also like there is an extra pipe in there. I also have a slowboy racing J pipe so would that not be usable with it as well? The pipe I think looks backwards is the really long one. Also one of the 2 in the center of the photo look like they are just extra. I thought about it and it seems like you should only need 4 pieces( long one, upper pipe(one with the hole), outlet elbow for turbo, and one of the center ones.) I personally only need the lower pipes.

The kit comes with a j-pipe, so that whole hotside section won't work with your sbr jpipe.

Honestly you'd be better buying one of the piping kits with just a bunch of bends. Then fabbing it up yourself.
 
That piping kit is the same as the piping that comes with the SSAC intercooler kit. So as long as your intercooler is the same as or similar to the intercooler that comes in that kit than you are set.
 
If i were u,don't get it. If this kit is the same as ssautochrome.The price is great but,you'll have to lose the rebar or alot of costume work . You'll be missing one or two clamps, hose and most of all the kit does not come with throttle body elbow. For the j pipe to work ,you have to tap into to get ## boost source. I'm not here to trash any company or anyone but that's what happen to me.:mad: In here there's a guy who did a write up and pics on this kit.
 
I think 80% of the time if your car isnt stock your aftermarket FMIC needs some custom fabracating. That intercooler piping in the thread is nice. Dont know if it will work on your setup but I like that the piping that runs on top of the intercooler behing the bumper is one giant piece. The Greddy Kit should upgrade to one big piece.
 
Yes it looks great (the big pipe) but u will have to loose the rebar and trim some inner bumper. There are kits out there required none of these bull s*$t. So spend a bit for the high end one.I should of done that. Cheers
 
Does anyone else notice the 50mm hole in the up pipe? Nobody makes a recirc 50mm BOV.

If you're looking at kits that probably means you don't think you can fab up your own pipes, so that one should work for you. The only thing I don't like about that setup is the long route (J pipe to passenger side IC inlet, then drivers side outlet all the way across the car to the throttle body). As stated before, that kit comes with the SSAC IC kit and has worked well for a lot of people, look for the thread on it somewhere around here.

If you're feeling adventuresome you could probably scrap together a really decent short route (from J pipe to drivers side IC inlet, then passenger side outlet to throttle body) with something like this

See I dont really want one of those style kits because im not always positive it will line up correctly mesh together with my car. It seems like if its not for the car it wont work or will sag down below the car. The pipes I have now are a junk makeshift kit the guy before me mad out of some random 2.5" pipes. I would like to stay with the 2.5" pipe because that is what the Intercooler inlets are. If I was to get the kit that is already together I would be using my own dejon upper ic pipe and TB elbow. just that lower piece really throws me off ### it looks backwards. like it runs opposite what it should

I dont understand what hes saying in this...is this kit one that goes over the top of the intercooler? because I have one inlet on each side.
