Intake MAF/MAS Options + Questions

So I got a 1G (1993) with a 6 bolt bottom end and a 2G head. What exactly are my options as far as MAFs/intakes go. I would prefer not running the 1g do to obvious reasons. I will not be running a SAFC because I will be tuning via DSMlink.



Also a side question, can I run he engine with a 14b and a FMIC with no tuning? (want to get it running stock first before slapping on the 50 trim). DSMlink will not be here where I fire the engine up, but I will have a pokcetlogger.

I would recommend a 2g mas. You won't overrun it unless you go insanely drag only size turbo. Gm maf seems to be hit or miss, seems like a miss on most dsm's and in my own experience, seems to need constant tuning on a lot of peoples cars. As far as 14b + fmic, no tuning really required, could probably lean it out a lil due to the cooler air but as long as you run stock injectors with stock mas it will run fine without a tune.

With the 2G MAS I can use DSMLink to compensate, and not use a SAFC, correct?

As stated in the link, little tuning will need to be done if 550cc injectors are installed at the same time as the 2g MAF.

And Nors, yes you should be able to use DSMlink to tune the 2g MAF.
