i bought an short ram intake off ebay and i recieved it and the blue rubber connector that goes from the throttle body to the intake tube doesnt fit the throttle body??? Plus it only came with 1 clamp for the tube??? am i sopposed to use a piece of the stock intake to make it fit?? let me know what you guys think?????

the coupling should fit the throttle body, and u need to snag one hose clamp off ur stock intake and use that. also, get a CAI instead, ram is no good

ya and if it doesnt fit, you can pick up an aem one from a shop for like $4 i believe. but i gotta agree, CAI is the way to go

yea like the other two dudes said, just use the stock clamp.... and what do u mean it doesnt fit? u mean there's no way u can get it on? cause that thing is rubbery and it stratches out a little bit im sure u can fit on around that thing.... well good luck and i have to say that, buy a CAI its better then short ram! :thumb:

this size of the rubber connector fits the new intake tube just fine, but the other side of the connector is too large for the size of the throttle body. I mean it cant fit. for example the size of the throttle body is about 2" the size of the adaptor is about 2 1/2 inches or so. those arent correct sizes, im just setting an example. thanks for your imput guys..... :dsm:

may i add that the shortram off ebay is 30 dollers and a CA is 250 :)

Sorry maybe some people arnt as loaded as others :thumb:

well yea if u compare a brand name CAI to Ebay short ram then u r right.... Ebay CAI <<< check this one out, of course its not a brand name one but its a tube with an air filter (crappy one most likely) so just replace it with a K&N or something and uve got the same thing... the only thing ull be missin is that big A.E.M sticker on the side! :thumb:
