Alright so I'm installing my illuminas, but I have a question. How much thread should be showing at the top of the nut (the nut at the top of the shock that comes up through the engine bay). Also, what are the nuts for that come with the illuminas? I got 4 bags which each contained 2 nuts and the 1-5 red plastic piece for the settings, but what are the nuts for? Thanks

On shock installs I have done there is can be a bunch of bolt showing up top. That is irrelevant as long as the shock is firmly in place and not wiggling.

So just go until I can't tighten the bolt anymore? There's a lot of thread, and I could go until the end of the thread because I can just keep compressing the spring, but then there will we a ton of bolt coming through on top, like way more than stock...is that correct though?

You tighten the nut down all the way. There should be a little hump in the shocks piston, so the mounting equipment can't slide down the piston. That's what the nut is snugging up against. When I installed my Tokico shocks I and everyone else I know has had extra threading showing, so you're fine:thumb:
