I have a 2g GST that I just recieved three strut bars for. The front, the rear upper, and the rear lower. How do i get to the bolts to install the upper rear and how do i install the lower.

Also will the lower rear strut bar diminish the need for a bigger rear sway bar?

I look at Vfaq for installation and they only had it for the front.

The rear upper goes in your trunk. In your trunk where on the bottom it dips down like 3 inches behind your seat is where the rear axle is located. Go to the top of that and u will see 2 pieces one on each side that pop out. I believe there might be 2 small screws on the bottom of each. You will have to cut a 1 square inch hole in both of these to run the bar through. After that remove the black pieces of rubber, you will see them when you look in the hole where you removed the 2 pieces of plastic. Then you can see the 2 bolts you need and then your all done.

Hi-
The explanation for the upper rear was pretty good, let me know if you need pics of what it should look like after you cut the holes in the trim-it's pretty much the same as installing the front except two bolts instead of three and the desire to keep trim panels in place makes it a little bit of a pain-but worth it.

The rear lower is a different story, here's a decent post on how to do it (and perhaps more importantly what it does-or doesn't do.)

I think that upgrading the rear sway bar will make a lot more noticeable difference than the lower tie bar-or at least I wouldn't call it a substitute for upgrading the sway bar.
