Questions:

#1 - Is it recommended and common to permanently run your log cable by threading it through your dash and hiding every thing nicely? Or do most users simply plug the cable in when being use, draping it across the steering wheel maybe. Then remove ever thing after completing the logging session.

#2 - The installation of the clutch wire seems fairly straight forward; dose anyone have suggestions to make working in the cramped area under the dash easer?

#3 - The instructions recommend soldering all connections; how ever, I don't see bringing my $7 soldering iron with me under the dash board, using it inches from my face wile hanging upside down from the drivers seat something I plan to do if it can be avoided. Any thoughts on this procedure to simplify?

#4 - Any notes on the needed cutting for the ECU section of wire?

Thank you, Sean.

#1: I leave my cable and Keyspan adapter in the car all the time, with the connector hooked up to the OBD port and the cable running under the center console to the rear hump, which is just where I lay my Keyspan adapter. I leave the Keyspan's cord twist-tied together, since the DSMLink cable is long enough to plug into my laptop anywhere I put it. I might do something interesting with making the cable run through the center console under the lift-up compartment, but that's something I have to play around with.

#2: Kneepads and a good flashlight. Take breaks so your head doesn't fill up with blood. :)

#3: I just recently bought a Cold-Heat soldering iron where I work. This may be an option for you.

#4: Don't cut the wrong one. There are two black wires next to each other. Per the instructions, the Pin 91 wire is the thicker of the two black wires. When you're upside down and looking at rows and rows of wires, things can get turned around easily, so remember it's the thicker one.

I couldn't find the plug that they were talking about in the clutch wire instruction. Can anyone tell me exactly where it is ?

On the top side of the clutch, there should be a switch. In the pic below, it's immediately to the left of the clutch return spring. On the back of the switch (really it's a button, but I'm not the one who named it) there's an electrical connector. On the back of the connector are the wires you're looking for.
