Hey guys, if you don't remember me and my previous post, I decided to get a fully ported small 16g. The turbo pulls pretty nice at 9PSI, I can't wait to get it boosted more. But first a couple questions. I have the stock exhaust, with a 2.5" uicp blow thru set up w 3" gm maf, and the turbo doesn't completely boost until about 3800-4000RPM, is that normal for having stock exhaust? 2nd, how much can I safely port the stock 1g o2 housing? 3rd, where can I find articles to install an AFC and fuel injectors, detailed fool proof articles. I don't know which ecu plugs to tap into, I know that they are in the middle of the car right in front of the shifter, but do I unplug those plugs and leave them unplugged so the afc can read data, or do I have to plug them back in? And how much boost can I run (this boost will be ran on the 2nd stage for a dual stage mbc, stock boost otherwise) with the small 16g, 560cc injectors, afc, and stock sidemount? I was thinking about 18-19 but I just wanted to make sure. I should be getting an exhaust (Apex N1 dp/cb) here pretty soon we are just having techincal difficulties with the payment, but otherwords I should be solid. Thanks and have a good night!

3800-4000RPM is about right for full spool even with a small 16g. I have a small 16g and thats about what it does even with aftermarket exhaust.

You can port the stock O2 housing a fair amount. How much can only be judged by you. The only thing you have to worry about is porting it so much that the walls become thin and it cracks. But thats still alot of porting. :p

Hm. If you got the instruction manual with the AFC it has instructions on how to hook it up. I am not sure but roadraceengineering.com might have directions as well. I believe someone did a writeup in the tech articles on how to install one as well. You must reconnect the plugs to the ECU after splicing the wires. Without the ECU plugged in the car is not even going to start, let alone run and let you tune it with the AFC. ;) The directions are in the AFC manual for which wires you have to splice as well.

As far and injectors are concerned...they are fairly easy. Unbolt the fuel rail, pop the old ones out and press the new ones in, its that easy.

Even with the tuning and upcomming exhaust you are going to install running 18-19psi is pushing it IMO. Your intake temps will likely be getting way to high with the stock sidemount and you will be seeing knock from it.
