I hit a deer about 2 weeks ago and have finally collected some money. I got a new hood and bumper I just need a new intercooler and radiator support. Only the top of the support is bent in. My question is do I need the support installed by a shop or can I just do it myself. How hard is it to take off from what I saw its just bolts..

If its just bolts it wont be that hard and you can do it yourself, but what you will probably run in to is, when something like that gets bent it tends to tweak other things, like pulls the fenders. if does just unbolt and you can bolt in a new one, pay extra attention to how things line up you may have to take some other things loose and adjust it like fenders, hood latch, and things of that sort. i think it does just unbolt

Hey there, I work at a body shop and am pretty sure that the radiator support is welded in. Unless you know how to weld and like the previous post mentioned, line everything up, I wouldn't attempt it... Hope that helps

MOst times we try to pull the rad. support to straightin it that way before we cut it off. I wouldnt bolt it on but that just me. I would take it to a local body shop if you can to see what they think before going any further with this

Damn, any idea on how much a shop would charge to put a new one on?

Each shop varies because of labor charges

as long as they dont have to straightin anything I wouldnt imagine it would cost to much

man if you can weld i say go for it drill them spot welds out of the bent support line the new one up and weld it up!! :hellyeah: shouldnt take you long
