toronto,
I have a question. I have a 16g and I wanna go short route. i wanna know how you guys turn the outlet to face the left side of the car instead of the passenger side. I'm thinking for cuttin the clange off and gettin a u-bend and welding that to face the driver's side and make a 180* turn. The tech guides I have read usually use turbo's that don't have a flanged outled rather than one that's lookin downward or simply skip this part.

What do you guys think about an intercooler that has the inlet and outlet on the same side, does anyone use these?
This is a link to an auction that has pics Link I think this type of an intercooler would sort of ease the installation but I'm not sure how efficient it is in regards to cooling. Also, do you guys encounter problems w/ getting around the fan? I have my A/C fan removed just wanna know if I should add a slim-fan into the budget of my FMIC stuff.

Thanks in advance.

Many DSMers have the FMIC you are describing (inlet & outlet on the same side).
I've seen Dejon and RRE make those type of Intercoolers but that ebay one looks good too.
Looks like the Ebay fmic does not come with piping so the piping will be custom, just make sure it clears everything and custom it to your own taste with shortest route and you'll be good to go

Sweet. Tks for the info.

No problem. The Ebay intercooler looks legit to me, I actually have an Ebay intercooler and it works great but the hard work is gona be the custom piping and a bit of trimming on the bumper. Time consuming but a good little project :thumb:

Yep indeed. I have a shop at my disposal so i'm loaded on tools, it will definately be worth the time.
