So the headlights on a 1g T/E/L are pretty much a joke. I think a couple C battery powered flashlights would produce more light output. So I went ahead and ordered a set of 55watt, 6000k color temp HID bulbs and ballasts for my Laser. I am happy to say that it made one hell of a difference. Here are the results.

I bought this kit from SharpHID - Automotive HID Xenon Conversion Lighting Products for 90 dollars shipped to my door. I am extremely satisfied, and I think I will finally be able to see when driving at night, with the low beams on :rocks:
And yes, I know my garage is a disaster. ROFL

Unfortunately, the way you see the car in those pictures are its current state. Should be back together within the next week or so, so I will be able to gauge how much glare there will be. The cutoff looks pretty good on the door though.

The glare isn't really that bad I think. I've seen my lights from a distance and it isn't blinding like some stock halogens are. Most PNP HIDs are bright when you see someone driving down the road because they don't turn the lights down at all; therefore they are a bi*** to look at when they drive by(or behind you if you don't have tint). Even though people lifting trucks with HIDs dont seem to figure this out, I hate getting blinded by a damn lifted silverado(or whatever) all the time. I found though that if you turn the lights down a bit, it helps with people flashing you. Since I've turned my down from stock height, I have never been flashed.

And the cutoff with HIDs is eh. The eclipse housings have a pretty crappy cutoff to begin with for a halogen compared to other cars out there.

my 2 cents

The blinding as mentioned above really is due to people not re-aiming the headlights when needed. This is isn't just a feature of the HIDs but the headlight and combination of the new lights. If people had properly aimed headlights HIDs wouldn't be all that glaring if at all in most headlights. Even halogen bulbs will glare if not aimed properly.

Great photos! They lights came out great. Thank you for posting.

Off topic question since I am going to order 55w 5,000 for my 2g, but how do like the fitment install of the evo fmic on the laser. I have a 92' awd and was looking at fmic for it. Make me think when I saw yours. So any thought or comments on it?
