Installed 255 Fuel pump now gas guage isn't working?

More likely then not you cut or broke the sending unit wire. Double check the wires outside the cover and inside.

I did the same thing on my 95AWD, does yours not work at all? Or does it not go past or below a certain mark? Mine won't go below 1/4 tank, you might have installed it with the "float" stuck on something. It may just need to be repositioned. I still havent fixed mine

Apparently the sending unit and gas tank have marks on them you have to line up before you tighten down the plastic ring that holds the sending unit down. I read this somewhere in my DSM travels. Check all of the above and try what I said.

Mine is kind of like that. When I was installing my pump I cut the wire from the sending unit and after I soldered it back together it only reads from about 1/2 a tank and down on the guage. Thank god I dind't cut the wire from the warning light too. I also had a problem with twisting the pump so that the float got stuck.

I'll bet one hundred billion dollars that you twisted the assembly when reinstalling it and either jammed the float or knocked it off.
