I am on my 3rd 02 sensor(luckily the 1yr warranty is unlimited so far). I found this bung extender offered by innovate to supposedly help eliminate the issue. My 02 will work flawlessly for a few days than start getting e8 errors randomly. Has anyone tried this thing out?

This thing hasnt had a heat shield since i bought it and who knows how long before that with no alternator issues.

It does get toasty under the hood and some of the rubber lines have suffered the effects.

But i do need to get this o2 sensor issue squared away. It might be better to get a downpipe and bung fitted than buying a 2g housing depending on what people want for them. If i can get one cheap ill try that first. But have to do something soon

There's a 2G stock O2 housing on e-bay right now, $31.81 + free shipping .

Make sure with the seller if it's a 2G but it looks like it from the picture. Search for 'eclipse o2 housing', I tried with '2G dsm o2 housing' but only found tubular ones.

Heat shield, you may have to go with a new one, if still available.

Should I lean out my AFRs on my idle to 15.1 with e85? Im also having cold start issues and someone mentioned flooding the cylinders could be an issue as it warms up at 13afr when it finally starts. Is it possible i need to lean all that out and maybe save the sensor?

I have a 2g 02 housing on the way to move the sensor slightly more downstream with a heat sink. E85 is definitely causing these issues since they never happened before.

I think you need to switch back to pump gas. I can see you blowing your engine up soon. Unfortunately, e85 doesn't warn you when you have reached your limitations and in my opinion someone who is not extremely experienced in tunning shouldn't be street tunning on e85, specially not with the problems your having with your wideband sensor. There's plenty of things you can still improve on your car still, so I will suggest you, do more research, build your car, street tune on pump gas and when your ready get your car dyno tuned on e85.

You asssume i dont know how to tune on e85... my issue is not tuning. Its the o2 isuues now popping up that are odd to me. Never had these issues with the high hp honda on e85. Obviously there are some issues im trying to iron out but my tune is mild with low timing and 16psi boost only.

Have to learn the intricacies of this car somehow and i use this forum as a place to ask. How do you learn without asking

I wasn't assuming that you don't know how to tune... I was assuming that's it's next to impossible to properly tune a car with out a working wide band. That's why I suggested you hold back till you have the proper setup and fix the errors, but, continue as you were...

Wideband works... for about 3 days until it acts up... so im doing nothing further with it until this issue is squared.
