I installed a 625 MagnaFuel in-line pump along with my 535 walbro in-tank pump. The in-line 625 is activated by a Hobbs switch which activates around the 10-15psi range so it is off when the walbro is priming and running under 10psi. My feed line is -8an to the rail and -6an return.

When my car begins to prime and/or is running, the 625 will start to make a weird noise (see video). If I cycle the key on and off it will eventually be quiet with the walbro running but is annoying as it’s loud.

When the 625 is making that pulsating noise, it is generating about 3 volts and I verified it is not coming from the relay so it must be generating that from the pump spinning caused by the fuel.

Has anyone had a similar issue or is something wrong with my MagnaFuel 625? If this is going to be the norm, I might try something different as it’s more of a fast street car than a full blown drag.

Well rather than changing a lot of my feed setup to get -12AN to the inlet of the MagnaFuel 625, I decided to modify the relief valve on the walbro 535 and ordered a KB boost a pump.
