OK first of all I am a little new to DSMs...

The car I just bought has a generous amount of fuel cut. I assume it is due to the 16G that was installed on it. I have a new fuel pump on the way... will this help if banishing the dreaded fuel cut?

Additionally, I assume you have to use a piggyback FC to upgrade the injectors... is that an incorrect assumption?

Thanks :) bare with me for awhile, I catch on pretty quick :D

Fuel cut is triggered when the ecu sees too much incoming air. It is not related in any way to what fuel pump or injectors you have or a sign that you are running out of fuel. So, no, a larger pump will not solve it.

The most common way of delaying fuel cut is to use an afc and larger injectors to hide airflow from the ecu. With the larger injector you use the afc to decrease the airflow signal and the ecu ads the appropriate amount of fuel for that lower amount of air. Dialing in the injectors and delaying fuel cut at the same time.

Yes, you will need some sort of fuel computer to run larger injectors.
