Injector not firing properly

Hey. My car just gave up on me a couple weeks ago. The clutch slave cyl went out on me. And this problem. Ok some on one of my spark plug wires decided to come out of the holder and the cam gear started to eat away at the covering the silicon part. It wore all the way down to the metal or wire inside of it. And when this happend i started to get a misfire from the injector closest to the cam gear side. Injector 1 i think it is. Can the spark comming from the spark plug wire cause it to jump and ground on the injector and cause the injector to fail or destroy the injector?? Or any other reason y it can just fail out of the blue. Just need some tips because its going to extreme motorsports to get fixed on the 10th and when thats done and fixed it gets dyno tuned with dsm link i have installed.

I can't infer from your post if you've already replaced the chewed-up plug wire or not.

You said the cam gear ate the wire? Been driving with the timing belt cover off?

yes i run with them off but have the spark plug wires away from the cam gears. some how one of them poped out of the holder and got grinded away by the cam gear. And i replaced the wire with a stock one for time being.
