welp, I just got my rebuilt motor in my 92 Talon AWD. The harnesses are all connected, IC pipe is ran. Literally everything is done except the damn thing wont start. The car cranks and im getting fuel but im not getting any spark. This may be because im using a 90 CAS that I wired into the 92 harness. However after checking the wiring diagrams I did wire it correctly, Another thing I was thinking is that the only sensor not hooked up is the sensor on the front of the tranny. The one with the ball on the end of it. I believe its a reverse light switch. Could this cause the car not to start? I printed some tests from alldata on how to test the coil pack so im going to do that now but any ideas will help.
Oh, one more thing. I noticed that on the old intake manifold there was a sensor bolted to the brace on the back of it. It has 2 wires coming out of it and has a silver square cap on it. The backside of it is filled with an epoxy material. Do I need this? I searched all over for a harness on my car but I cant find one that matches this one so I dont even know where to plug it in. Thanks alot guys.

nope, knock sensor bolts to the back of the block, not to the intake manifold brace. and its bolt shaped, not square with a silver cap. Either way, I did look on my friends 90 and his has it. We unplugged it and it lost the rpm signal but still started. Also, we ruled out the sensor on the tranny. I also put the stock CAS back on and it still wont get any spark. The only other thing to do is to swap out the ignition coil pack with a known good one but the only one I can find is off a 90. Will this work with a 92 ecu? I've heard it wont but I wanted to make sure.
