I got my T25 at 12psi ish now..

once I finish my sparkplugs and find out why my car is breaking up..

I want to bump it up to 16-17psi..

any real gains by doing this? 5whp? more?

Roughly about 15-25 engine horsepower per pound so 16psi would add lets say 80hp (that's taking 20hp/psi) at the crank. Taking in consideration parasitic draw of about %20 that makes 64whp extra running at 16psi.

edit: of course that's with all supporting mods. If not you looking more at 8-12hp/psi which would give you 32whp after parasitic draw

dont expect much outta that t25, your stock fuel will only hold up to 15-16 psi anyway. Anything after that and you will reach the end of the turbos effeciency, leaning out, and eventually fuel cut. You might see 20 hp if your lucky and have all supporting mods.

Cannot truly be determined. You should focus on fixing current problems with the car first though.

Im pretty sure you would see more then 20 with all the mods, id say closer to 30-40 but then again like 2gsx said you need to worry about the shape your cars in to even get close to that.

Fix that breaking up and do it and you would notice a good bit of difference according to your butt dyno.

HEEEEELLLLLOOOOO bench-racing! that 80hp at the crank figure is LUDICROUS. Considering the T25 will only support 275ish, and it comes from the factory with 210... you WILL NOT see 244awhp. (the 180 usually at the wheels stock + 64)

Fix your problems, and do all the other supporting mods you can, but there's no way you're going to be able to pick a number that's going to be a definite HP increase. But, there should be an increase. And taking it up to 15-17psi should still net you some gains, providing you have the appropriate support.

If you're going the EL CHEAPO route like I probably would I'd get a real boost gauge, egt and/or logger, K+N with no airbox and tp, maybe CAI and boost only to 14lbs. In my estimation those 3 extra lbs and minimal mods will give about 20 HP over stock. Personally I'd want to go further on the mods before boosting any higher than that and then I'd have have to ask myself how much do I want to spend just to be able to crank up the t-25 another 1-2 lbs so I'd probably quit at 14 lbs and call it a day.
