hello all, just recently bought a 95 gst eclipse and had a radio installed, which worked fine for a good 3 weeks, but the other day as i was driving the car winded down like it was dying then came to a stop.

Once it was stopped, it wouldnt turn over, or try to start up, and n electronics would work except the headlights and door open light.

i checked the fuses and noticed it keeps blowing the ignition fuse 30a. I fully unplugged the radio and it still continues to blow this. I cant find the issue now.

Any ideas? Could a ground in the radio harness be causing this issue? The only constant we could find to hook the constant to was the boost gauge wire which was also down there.

ya any kind of ground in the cabin waring harness could be causing it. to test get a volt meter and put it in the ign. fuse spot and see what you are pulling.

ok as we traced it, went under the steering wheel where it plus into the ignition, we noticed its not getting any power to the plug where the ignition wire should connect to. Does this mean there is a splice or a break somewhere in that wire? looked under the fuse box and cant find any breaks yet, but not entirely sure where that wire runs

it was grounding out under the column...appreciate it josh!
