For some reason my car will run for about 20 - 25 mins, and then all sudden the 30 AMP ignition fuse blows under the hood. When i put another fuse in when it has just blown, its blows again. If i wait an hour and then put one in, its fine again for another 20-25 mins. WTF could be the prob.? I shook all wires around when car is running and nothing happens at all. It only blows whn car is warmed up for awhile. Cant figure it out. I mean If i had an open wire that was grounding out, it would blow rite when i went to start the car. But for some reason just does in 20-25 mins after driving. Anybody else have this kinda problem???? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

same thing happened to me. Except when i took a hard left turn it would blow. I went through 3 of them little bitches.

The thing was I just installed a boost gauge and the ground wire came loose.

I tapped the ignition wire for my power source.

Did you just installed anything new before this started happening?

Yea I hooked up three gauges. 1 Defi boost gauge, 1 Defi EGT gauge, and ! A/F Gauge. I checked out all three gauge wires. All was ok. Freakin weird shit. Makes me so mad
Just cant figure it out. Why only in 20 mins. it does that

Honestly im at work rite now and I coulndt tell you which fuses i mended into, but all gauges are not going into just one fuse, that would be be retarted ROFL

I just think its extremely wierd that the car runs for awhile and then decides to blow that fuse. Just insane. Then wait an hour and it works again for a little while. :toobad:

hey you have ask stupid questions on here...LOL anyways. Check and make sure you didn't tap into the ECM fuse i think it is. Try unplugging the guages and see if it still blows fuses. You maybe be cuasing to much of an amperage draw causing causing your battery and alternator to have to work overtime which could cause a fuse to blow. Just double check your work. Trust me i've made some dumb mistakes that some simple "double checking" has found.

Hah i'm at work too. :shhh:

Well I think we all have asked some dumb questions from time to time hahaha. But N E ways ECM fuse? Ok I will check, but it doesnt make sense that 3 Gauges could over load that fuse and make it blow. People have sound systems with carzy amps that overload the batt. and alt., and the cars still run. I just hope this isn't like finding a needle in a hay stack.

But you might be drawing to much current for that small circuit. With car stereo's the systems are hooked up to the battery which can dish out the large amounts of amps when needed. a small fuse doesn't like it at all.
