i have 91 2.0 n/t 5 spd and i have replaced all the sensor that were bad and pulled vacume on the EGR valve"fine" and cleaned it and idle air control valve with brake cleaner.
noticed some carbon deposit in the plenum and befor seening that i ran a BG fuel flush through the plenum and 44k in the tank did not have the stuff to run it through the injectors. I just dont know what else to do. i replaced the balance shaaft belt and i set the timming it may be off but it runs good and it seems to be a little louder but some told be if the timming is off it wouldnt run or i have bent valves but it wouldnt run right at all and it would be vary noticable. help me please.......

This is the 420a Tech forum for us 2gnt guys...you might get some better responses in the 4G63 tech forum :thumb: We check our timing marks or what not...but have you tried a timing light and actually checking it or just assuming it's good?

hey i have the 420a of course, but i had the same problem after a complete rebuild top and bottom end. i figured the computer would just work itself out but it didnt. so i tryed a bunch of things to no avail, and what finally fixed the problem was the relay on the firewall for your fuel system. theres 2 relays on a manual and 3 on an automatic. you can get a new relay from either an auto or a manual and use it. if you get an auto one u will just have one empty relay where the transmission usually plugs in. cheap fix though just an idea.

Our cars are setup quite different than the 4g63's, so most likely the issue will be solved differently :dsm:
