I am having an idle problem in my gst. First it is a 6 bolt swap. When it is warmed up, it idles at 1200 rpm and it will rise to 1700 rpm then drop back down to 1200 rpm and continues to follow that pattern. At times if I barely tap the gas, it feels like it might stick and the rpm goes up to 2500 and maintains that, if I tap it again, it comes back down and continues to follow the above pattern. I have tried the following:
Boost leak test
soapy water to find vacuum leaks
tested and changed the isc motor w/ good o ring inside
cleaned a FIAV off my 7 bolt tb and installed
egr blockoff plate installed
It seems like I did more than that, I just can't think of it offhand. I intend to do another boost leak test in the morning to double check. I have ran out of ideas for what to do. The car runs fine and idle has improved a lot throughout the alterations I made above but it still has issues I can't seem to solve. I started by changing the ISC motor, then the whole FIAV, idle improved slightly, I ran a boost leak test and used soapy water to find leaks, I had bubbling from the tb elbow gasket, the BISS screw, the caps on the nipples on top of the tb and somewhere near where the intake mani bolts to head. I used red silicone my friend had to put on the tb elbow gasket, tightened the biss screw, changed the caps on the top of tb and upon removing fuel rail to investigate the leak near there, I found that two of the o rings that go in the head to seat the injectors were bad so I replaced them with two good ones from my 7 bolt head. I did a boost leak test after that and everything checked out. It's current idle has been the best it's been since I got it running. The biss screw was adjusted by someone else and I found out from research it was a bad idea to touch before checking everything else... I can try to answer any questions to help anyone help me. I also read on adjusting the tps and biss screw but I need advice for it. On the tps do I use the 1g or 2g guide? I have a 1g tb with a 2g tps and on the biss screw, same question, do I use the 1g or 2g guide? I wasn't sure if it would differ since I had a 1g engine in a 2g car...

but opened up a couple more problems. I am about to start doing some searches on it but I figure I might mention it here too. First off it idles at 1k approximately now. It still fluctuates but this is like very minor ones like not even a full 100 rpms drop. Every so often, it cuts out like almost enough to shut the car off. My dad said you can hear it in either cylinder 3 or 4 like it's misfiring. The plugs and wires are brand new. My factory boost gauge quit working since the tb install and now when I give it gas, it hesitates to respond. Neither of these occurred before the tb removal and clean. I was considering the fact it may have jumped time because I noticed that the timing belt has this bad habit of loosening up bad on top of cam gears (not just the play that the exhaust cam gear normally gives) but if you take a wrench and turn it slowly, it tightens back up. I'm not entirely sure. Any imput?
