I have had this car for around a year. I am just trying to get the car able to drive on the road. When I bought the car it needed a head gasket so i replaced it with help from this site, and previous experience. The problem has been happening since the day I fired the car up.
When driving down my road or when I'm boosting it, it drives great, and runs really strong. The mods on the car: evo9 fp, fmic, 550cc inj., mitsu specialties stg 3 chip, new wires/plugs ngk gaped 28, all maintenance, and full exhaust.

I had the same problem with the car bone stock.

thanks

No, it doesn't stall its just a funny idle. Do you think it could be the mas having no combs? I'm replacing the throttle body seals today, and fixed the pin hole in the icp. So i guess ill see if it helps cure the problem.

You ever done a compression/leak down test? If you have 1 cylinder or more down on compression it could mess your idle up.

No i haven't, but that's something ill look into for next week. Thanks for suggesting

mine is the same exact way sounds exactly like that no boost leaks, good isc motor. i just learned to deal with it, doesnt bother me anymore.

First of all, great sounding exhaust! My Megan 3" turbo-back system sound exactly the same and I love it!

Do you have a logger and wideband O2? It could be a number of things such as running a little lean or rich, ISC, throttle position not returning to previous position after you rev the engine, long term fuel trims, MAS, BISS, bad or dying O2 sensor, FIAV and coolant temp sensor just to name a few.

It sounds like you have cams; they can cause your idle to fluctuate a bit depending on their duration. To me, it doesn't sound bad at all, with HKS 264/272 cams, my car does something similar when I rev the engine too. I wouldn't worry about it too much, especially if the car is running great otherwise, but a compression test wouldn't hurt.

If you just let the car idle for awhile does it eventually settle back down to normal? What idle speed is your chip set for? Bigger cams like a little bit higher idle speed. Mine is set to 900 rpm.

Thanks i like the way it sounds to.
I have a logger, but no wide band yet. I just have a narrow band which came with the car. This car isn't on the road yet, and i haven't had the funds to fork over on the wb. I do plan on having one before the car is put on the road however. The guy that had the car before me said, he thinks it has bigger cams, but I am pretty sure he was just trying to "sell" the car.

I have changed the coolant temperature sensor and, the ISC.

This is the way it idles all of the time. I did notice if I am getting on it a little sometimes the idle will rise a bit. I'm going to redo the timing, and do another BLT this week to see what I can figure out. Then a compression test, but the car seems to run fine.
Thanks for the feedback

I would put the combs back in your maf too, the turbulance caused by the air in the intake without the combs isnt worth the small amount of extra air you'll get by removing them.
